School girl

Well.....my fears have come....Eve's in School now!

Her first day went well and when I asked her what she did, she replied with "nothing"!!!!!!!!.  Then I asked her if she had a good day and she said it was "boring"!!!.  I told her she has 13 plus more years of school so she better start liking it!!

Eve's off every Wednesday for the first 5 weeks.  She goes to school from 9am until 3:30 pm.  So hard to believe my little girl is 5 and in school!. 

Busy weekend

It's been a very busy weekend thus far.  We've been to two 30th birthday parties for a few friends.  Being at 30th's is a bit of a realization that I too will hit 30 soon!.

The girls were up very late Friday night and boy did I pay for it today!.  They were both so miserable and moody!.  I got them to bed at a reasonable time tonight (8:30 pm), so lets hope they're both refreshed and happy tomorrow (fingers crossed).  Doug's been working afternoons so he hasn't been home at bedtime - lucky him!

On another note - I got  my Tupperware Order today and can't wait to organize my pantry!. I have another pantry set coming next week!.  I'll take some before and after pictures.  Gosh, Tupperware makes me so happy!!.  A girl can never have too much Tupperware!

New Blog

I'm getting a new blog.  I've contacted a blog designer and we're still coming up with designs.  I really want to make this special and get it more out there.  I've also been considering re-naming it - any suggestions?

So stay tuned as this blog will be revved up and all new!.  I'm so excited!!!

Eve's 5!!!!

Can you believe Eve's 5?!?!?!?...that's what I keep asking everyone.  I just can't believe it. 

We had a party for her on Sunday and it turned out great.  She had a blast with her friends.  Today is her actual birthday so i'll make a special dinner and an ice cream cake.

Ofcourse, she refused to let me put ice on her swollen lip - so mommy got creative and gave her an ice cream/popsicle. 

The popsicle made her happy and took the tears away!

The Zoo

Yesterday was Australia Day, so everyone had the day off work.  We spent the morning at the Melbourne Zoo.  The girls loved it!.  The highlight for Eve was the Lions.  She was asking all day to see the Lions. 

The day started off with rain and we decided to head to the Zoo anyways and keep our fingers crossed that the rain stopped.  Luckily, it didn't rain 1 drop while we were at the Zoo.  It was, however, over-cast and a bit chilly, but it actually made a nice day walking around the Zoo because we didn't get too hot.

We headed home around noon, and we all slept the afternoon away.  So over all, us Canadians had a great Australia day. 

I forgot my camera, but took some pictures with my phone but haven't had a chance to get them onto the computer yet.

Tomorrow I'm taking Eve to get her school shoes and some other school uniform items.  Hard to believe my baby will be 5 next week AND start school.  It's a big week - maybe more so for me!
