Tuesday Ten - 12 {I am ___ right now}

{I am posting this early so that you can perhaps follow my prompts for my Tuesday Ten and link it up}

Welcome to the 12th week of Tuesday Ten.

If you're new here - Hi There! :)
Tuesday Ten is a link party about your posts of ten of anything.  It can be ten things you love, ten places you want to go, ten things you want right now, ten people you love etc....ten of anything really.

I love this because it gives me a chance to get to know my readers better and meet other bloggers.  It also allows all of you linker uppers (yes, I just made that up) to see eachothers wonderful blogs and meet new bloggers as well :)

Rules of linking up are:

Please place my button on your page so others can link back and see other posts.  You will find my button to the right of my blog page.  ---------->

Please "like" your favorite Tuesday Ten post by clicking the "like" button underneath the thumbnail.  I will do a small feature on the post that got the most "likes" each Tuesday so be sure to vote for your fav.

Also, please click on others link ups and comment so we can all share some love.  We all love comments don't we??!!

Last week the post that got the most likes was:

From A to Sneed

Check these ladies out!

This week is going to be a bit different because I am going to see if y'all want to follow along with my prompts and link up.  I got this "I am" idea from Salena at A Little Piece of Me.  You can read her post here.

salenalee.blogspot

If you haven't met or followed Salena - you want to head there right now!.  Trust me when I say that you want Salena in your corner.  She is the biggest cheerleader and such a reliable inspiration to me.  She is what I would call a very dear friend of mine.

Ok - back to Tuesday Ten :)

I am _____ right now:

I am - Tired.  Tired of all the craziness that's called "Life"
I wonder - What my girls will be when they grow up
I see - The negative in things alot.  I'm working on seeing the positive first
I want - To impact people lives in a positive way
I pretend - That things are ok a lot.  I try not to let on just how homesick I really am
I worry - That I am not a good enough mom to my girls
I cry - When I think of my family back home and how much i'm missing out on
I hope - my girls grow up and do something they love and find love
I dream - of being 100% happy
I feel - Alone.  A lot.

Now let's see whatcha got!!!

Our History {Part 6}

Read Part 1 here
Read Part 2 here
Read Part 3 here
Read Part 4 here
Read Part 5 here

It finally happened.  I was pregnant - when we least expected it to happen.

We spent the next few months soaking in all the family time we could get before Hubs left.

Hubs left in March of 2009 for Australia while I waited for our Permanent Residency Visas to come through.

Being pregnant caused a bit of a delay and a hiccup as I couldn't full-fill the chest x-ray requirement.  They ended up waiving that until after I delivered.

For the next 3 months it was decided that Eve and I would move in with my parents while we waited.

Eve and I settled into life living with my parents easily.  It was familiar to me obviously and Eve has the best relationship with my parents and sisters.

I soaked in all the time I could with my mom

I took Eve to the Port Dover Beach and enjoyed my last 3 months in Canada.  I didn't know when I'd be back again.

My Grandma, mom, sisters, Eve and I went on a 2 night little holiday to Great Wolf Lodge.

My belly grew too

I awaited early June when Eve and I would be re-united with Hubs.  This was going to be so good for us - we were going to be financially secure and happier in Australia, right?

Part 7 coming soon

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!!!!!!

*************************************************

We all have a bucket list right?.  I do -  you can read mine here
I love lists - PERIOD, so to be able to cross things off gives me such a high.

My friend & sponsor Jen has a blog all about her bucket list!.  Cool huh?

I have Jen from A Drop in the Bucket here today to tell us a bit more about herself AND a super cool giveaway!

**************************

Wow!  I am so excited to be here guest posting here at Nicole's online home.  Now if I could just find my way to Australia to meet her in person.  {wink}   She is such an inspiring woman and lovely mama.

Miss Mommy is one of my daily reads, because of how honest and forthcoming Nicole is about the realities of life.  And she is rockin' the blog world right now too!  Maybe someday my blog can grow up to be just like hers.

So I guess you might be wondering who I am, huh?

I am J#2 {or Jen} the proud stay-at-home-mom of a two-year-old {J#3} and nine-month-old {J#4}.  We are from the U.S. {Minnesota to be exact}, but are now living in Scotland, after having taking a year long detour in the Netherlands.

Who's J#1?  That'd be my handsome husband, seen here with the littles.

I tell my story over at A Drop in the Bucket.  You know how sometimes you start something, and you don't expect it to get quite as involved as you intended it to be?

I started my blog as a place to publish my bucket list, and then tell the tales of how I actually get to check the items off.  Things like taking part in an organized sporting event {I just ran a 5K on Thursday!}, write a book {done through National Novel Writing Month} and learn how to take better photos.

But now?  It's become so much more.

To me, its now become a place that I challenge myself {and hopefully readers} to live life in the moment. To intend to live a joyful, positive, simple life so that we can be present for our husbands, children, family and friends.  To work on becoming the best mama that we can be.

Plus, I write about random every day things, like choosing a new hairstyle, shoes and jewelry, and being healthy {or at least trying to be}.

Come by for a visit, won't you?

And because actually typing my bucket list and making it public for the world to see has inspired me to do more in the past year to change than I had in a long time, I have the perfect give-away.  Once I do a few more of the things on my bucket list {like learn how to sew} I think the next item to add to my bucket list will be to open a shop on Etsy.

I am amazed at the creative and talented Etsy artists every time I visit {which is pretty much every day}, and I bet you are too, right?
So...here is your chance to win a $25 gift card for Etsy!  Yes ma'am {or sir}, and all you have to do is:

Please leave a COMMENT for EACH entry.

"where are you from?"

It's obvious to Aussies that I am not Australian.  My Canadian accent is a dead giveaway.

I've lived in Australia for 2.5 years now and still get asked "Where are you from?".  I of course always answer proudly with "I'm a Canadian!", then it's usually followed by "Oh, how long are you visiting for?".

This last week in particular I got asked that question more than usual.  It was perhaps because we were on holidays.  My co-workers, friends, and people that work at the shops I frequent know me and know that I am not a visitor, I am a resident so they obviously don't ask me where I am from.

This question for some reason always saddens me.  I love talking about where i'm from and my family etc, but it always brings back those memories and people that I miss.

This question sometimes makes me feel like an outcast.  I can often feel people stare at me and turn their heads when they hear me talk because they can hear my accent and immediately know I am not Australian.  I know they are thinking "where is she from?".

Perhaps I need to wear a sign that says "I'm Canadian!".  Then will people quit asking me and staring at me?.  Or worse yet - calling me a "Yankee".  And I have to laugh when I got asked if I lived in an Igloo!!.  Like seriously?.

The point is this is that I am proud to be a Canadian and I think I will just have to accept that I am an outcast.  I have embraced some aussie slang, but will not go out without my shoes on!.
